Drosera spatulata is more commonly known as the spoon leaf sundew. It is a small, but vigorously growing plant. It will grow to a diameter of two to two and a half inches. Like all sundews, this plant will produce droplets of sticky digestive juice to trap insects. While it does not have the rapid movements of Venus flytraps, the spoon leaf sundew’s leaves will sometimes slowly curl around a large meal, but this is a very slow process.
Simply, a sundew should be kept outdoors in a shallow tray of distilled water in partial to full sun. Feeding a sundew is not necessary. See our Care Guides for more detailed informaton.
